Jimmy Munoz-New Hope Tattoo

JIMMY MUNOZ

Jimmy Munoz started his apprenticeship in March of 2008. Under the supervision of all the artists at Rising Phoenix Tattoo, Jimmy started his career in the tattoo industry. His brother Beto quickly took control of his apprenticeship, teaching Jimmy how to be an artist. He soon found out that a tattoo apprenticeship would engulf all of his time. He says “it was all about practice in my apprenticeship. Always practicing gave me good art habits.” As the years have gone by Jimmy still believes that learning to be a great artist takes a lifetime. Jimmy has always strived to be a great mentor and artist in the tattoo and piercing industry. Working at Color Theory Tattoo for six years taught him how to put his head down and work hard. The experience he gained at Color Theory Tattoo will help him navigate the success of New Hope Tattoo. Jimmy told me “Always have a goal in mind” I know I can’t wait to see what Jimmy will do next.

Noe Rodriguez -New Hope Tattoo

NOE RODRIGUEZ

Noe Rodriguez started getting tattooed at the age of 18. While getting tattooed he began to become friends with the artists at the studio. Seeing so many passionate artists inspired him. Noe told me ‘’I would hang out at the shop for hours and I felt like I was home.’’ That’s when Noe knew he wanted to become a tattooist. Beginning his apprenticeship in 2011 under the crew at Rising Phoenix Tattoo, he put his head down and worked hard.

Growing up in Addison Illinois his mom always made sure he had what he needed. Noe said “My mom always taught me to work hard and I use that motivation to push myself to be a better artist’’. He has been piercing since 2012 and tattooing since 2014.

Now working with his friends at New Hope Tattoo Studio, he hopes to take his art to the next step. Specializing in black stippling and American traditional tattoos, but loves the challenge of other styles. Known for his clean lines and smooth shading, you don’t want to miss your chance to get a tattoo by Noe Rodriguez

Brandon Espinosa- Saucy -New Hope Tattoo, Lombard, IL

Saucy Espinosa

Saucy Espinosa grew up in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Always fascinated by the graffiti he saw on the passing trains and nearby buildings. He then quickly started doing graffiti himself. Art took up most of his time after that and he would draw on anything that he could get his hands on. He took a lot of pride in his artwork and made sure it looked the best it could. He then brought that mindset into tattooing.

Saucy became interested in tattoos after seeing them on his parents. He began tattooing after he graduated from Oak Lawn High School. Brandon’s parents were very supportive and encouraging about him having a career in art. Even letting him do his first tattoo on his father in their garage.

Saucy started his tattoo career at a shop near his hometown then moved over to New Hope Tattoo. Quickly feeling at home Brandon knew that New Hope was the perfect shop for him to be in. He loves tattooing lettering, fineline work, and black and gray tattoos. He always makes sure that his drawings are perfect for his clients and is always excited to take on new projects.

Hiram “Ram” Aleman

Hiram started drawing as a young kid and has pursued his love of art in all forms ever since. He began his professional art career as a freelance Graphic Designer in 2013 while also studying Game Art and Design. Ram graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art with a Bachelors Degree in Game Art and Design in 2016. Ram’s journey eventually led him to apprenticeship under Beto and Jimmy Munoz. It was then that he fell in love with everything that is tattooing. “The best part about tattooing is taking a client’s idea and turning it into a piece of art they will wear forever.”
