We are located just three minutes from highway 355 off of Roosevelt Road making us really easy to find. When you come in, you will hear us laughing, cracking jokes, and the buzzing of tattoo machines. About Our Artists

Our staff of award-winning tattoo artists and piercers all have over a decade in tattoo and piercing experience. Our experienced artists can handle any type of piercing or tattoo design you may want. You can get a realistic tattoo, a new school tattoo, or anything in between when you come in to New Hope Tattoo Studio. And If you need any help deciding on a design, we can help with that too.

JIMMY MUNOZ

Jimmy Munoz started his apprenticeship in March of 2008. Under the supervision of all the artists at Rising Phoenix Tattoo, Jimmy started his career in the tattoo industry. His brother Beto quickly took control of his apprenticeship, teaching Jimmy how to be an artist. He soon found out that a tattoo apprenticeship would engulf all of his time. He says “it was all about practice in my apprenticeship. Always practicing gave me good art habits.” As the years have gone by Jimmy still believes that learning to be a great artist takes a lifetime. Jimmy has always strived to be a great mentor and artist in the tattoo and piercing industry. Working at Color Theory Tattoo for six years taught him how to put his head down and work hard. The experience he gained at Color Theory Tattoo will help him navigate the success of New Hope Tattoo. Jimmy told me “Always have a goal in mind” I know I can’t wait to see what Jimmy will do next.

Walk-ins are always welcome. We are here to answer all your questions about anything regarding piercings and tattoos. If you have an elaborate tattoo in mind, it may be best to come in and speak to us in person or email ahead of time to set up an appointment. You can consult with one of our artists about what you are looking for and they can help turn it into an amazing tattoo design for you. We can then assess the time needed for your particular needs and set up an appointment.

I had a great experience coming to New Hope Tattoo to see Jimmy. He did a wonderful job and is super personable. I got 6 pieces done and a touch up on a 13yr old tattoo. He helped adjust some of my pieces to help meet the end goals and he did a great job with the color and shading and placements. I am sad that I didnt find this place sooner, but overjoyed and grateful to have had the chance to get some work done! If I ever go back to the Chicago area in the future, a pit stop here will definitely be on my list of to-do's.

I was looking for an artist to get some black and grey cover up tattoos on my forearms done. Beto did a phenomenal job on them!!! I ended up getting more tattoos done down to my wrist and will be doing half sleeves on both my arms, I will probably end up doing full sleeves with how much i like his work.
